With
the Duplicate function (under the MODIFY menu, you'll find 'duplicate
logo element') you can create some very interesting text effects.

|
My
favorite effect (you'll see this on quite a few of the logos
I've created in the various logo sets being sold at The
Logo Creator) is the "duplicate text with outline" effect.
The
Logo Creator's outline feature creates an outline INside of the
text. To make the outline appear as an OUTER outline, follow
the steps below: |

|
Create
your text and add an outline.
Various thickness create different effects. |

|
Duplicate the text (under the MODIFY menu)
|

|
Remove the outline from the duped (upper) text.
Simply click the OUTLINE button and toggle the outline off.
|

|
Center the two text elements over each other and you have nice white inner text
with a subtle outer - outline.
|
This
duplicating effect works great for other effects (all of the images
below were exported directly from The Logo Creator):
|
By
duplicating your initial text and creating each outline with
a different thickness and color, you can create the 'double
outline' effect.
|
|
Here, I created
two text levels with various gradients (play with a few variants!)
The upper level is a tad transparent. This makes it look more metallic. |
|
This effect
was created with duplicate text. The bottom layer contains a 'white
to blue' gradient with a black shadow. the upper is a 'blue
to white gradient with a white shadow (the white shadow in this case
helps to 'fade' the text underneath a bit).
I then moved the upper level
down a few pixels for
that
3D effect. |
Another text effect you might like to try is the 'mirror'
text effect:

Create
- and duplicate your text.
 |
Next,
by pressing the Format button to the left of your Logo Canvas,
you'll see the "H-flip" and "V-flip" toggle buttons. This will
flip your text Horizontally or Vertically.
in the image
above, I duplicated the text, flipped it Horizontally and blurred
it a bit with the Blur button. I then set the transparency
of the mirror text back a bit to achieve the effect. |
